Dogma and Chasing Amy are my favorite Kevin Smith movies. Not sure they fall into family friendly, but man they are good. Dogma gets extra points for having Alan Rickman in it.

The only Kevin Smith movies that are kid friendly are the ones you don't want to watch anyway.

Ghost Busters might have some language issues as well, depending on how you feel about it.

For our generation, Clueless was so great. Wasn’t necessarily fond of how they portrayed the skateboarder, but after Point Break, I realized I had to temper my expectations. I find myself using lines from it all the time.

Clueless has 1 of the best lines ever!

Just because of ONJ

you know...(here I go a-derailin' this thread)

Besides the fact I, along with the vast majority of the country, had/has a huge crush on her, she actually did some ass kicking in the country music genre for awhile.
Of course, she was no Tammy Wynette but still...she did pretty well for herself.
I would listen to her stuff over 99% of the new country crap on the radio today.

seven Top Ten Billboard Hot Country singles

Country Music Association (CMA) Awards

  • 1974 – Female Vocalist of the Year
Nominations:
  • 1974 – Album of the Year – If You Love Me Let Me Know
  • 1974 – Entertainer of the Year
  • 1974 – Single of the Year – "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)"
Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards

Win:
  • 1973 – Most Promising Female Vocalist
Nomination:

  • 1974 – Top Female Vocalist

@Gatordiddy - derailing threads is what I do best but I get the feeling it's not appreciated on this board so I've tried to contain myself. In the PF there was a thread about Master P and his pancakes that mentioned beignets. I really wanted to post pictures of the amazing beignets the kids made this summer. However I resisted for fear of derailing the OP.

So here they are and they were AMAZING!

Back to the second topic. ONJ is fabulous. She's battled cancer 3 times now and has such a great disposition about it all. Truly and inspiration.

Different generation, but Will Ferrell has done well for himself

I like him now in a little smaller doses... Just the right amount of screen time in Old School.
Of course... The Other Guys was fantastic

Sandler's net worth dwarfs them both... combined. You can add Murphy to that and combined those three about match Sandler's success. Odd that he's the bottom of the four acting wise for me
