WRONG. I heard on the interwebs that his maternal aunt was from the Northwest and was a good ice skater in the 90s. She taught him a thing or two about getting your job back.

Because he has a podcast. That make him part of the "media". He now can tell us who should play QB, who we should vote for and what we should eat for dinner...

At this point, I'll take Hurts, Bryant, or any other dual-threat QB with a pulse that wants to come here.

Once the season is over and Mullen evaluates things, this is pretty much where we stand:

    - Franks - out (can't run the offense)
    - Trask - out (injury prone, can't run the offense)
    - EJ - in (inexperienced, needs to add size, learn the playbook)
    - Jalon - in (inexperienced, needs to learn the playbook)

So, that gives us two freshman QBs (if EJ redshirts). We need a grad transfer.

    Depth chart should look like:

    1. Bryant/Hurts (or other grad transfer)
    2A/2B.EJ/Jalon
    3. Trask (if he's still on the roster)
    4. Franks (if he's still on the roster)

We should go after Bryant....he would provide that stop gap that we would need to get the Jones boys acclimated to efficient productivity

“Called the play AT the line for Jordan Reed”

What part of that implies that he called out line protections for the center?

Reed had a notoriously bad football iq when it came to the playbook. That’s why he’s a tight end now.

I had to double check to see if this was Rog or Mohammed.

We really should just ride or die with EJ at this point. Give him the plays he can run and tell him to go run it. The kid is elusive with the ball in his hands. We’re playing Muschamp, EJ won’t have to throw much, just option them into submission.

If you were Bryant would you come to the Gators?

            Pros:
            1. Scheme fit - it fully utilizes your skillset
            2. Receivers - Good amount of talent there
            3. RBs - Assuming that Perine does not go to the NFL and that we get Wright, that is a good RB room
            4. Coaching - Mullen is a good QB coach and decent play caller
            5. QB competition - No worries there, you will win the job, period

            Cons:

            1. OL - Unknown how good the OL will be next year. With another year under their belt under Savage and another year under Hevesy, they should be better.
            2. Scheme - Are you really an NFL QB talent wise? If so, coming into a spread option scheme might not be your best bet although Mullen has had a few QBs drafted into the NFL.

Good points on Bryant. The knock on him at Clemson was his inability to throw downfield - which is why the freshman took over, as he has opened up Clemson's downfield passing attack. At this point, I'd take any QB that can complete a pass 10-15 yards beyond the LOS.

Agreed. To be fair, the guy Bryant lost his job to would probably do the same to most QBs in the country, regardless of their current roster. Barring significant regression, I would be shocked if Lawrence is not a top 5 pick the moment he declares for the draft.

That said, I think Bryant would be a perfect fit for Mullen’s offense. He is much more capable than any QB we’ve landed in a decade, aside from Grier. Concerns about his arm are overblown in my opinion. He is not perfect, but his experience is a tremendous asset and it will be invaluable for an offense that has been devoid of real leadership for some time now.

I hope Mullen at least shoots his shot and goes after him. He’s an ideal player for The Joneses to learn under.

He has a 65% completion rate behind a not necessarily great Clemson OL. I agree with you. Concerns about his arm are overblown. Lawrence's passes are little too soft for my liking and I can see an experienced db jumping the route.

After watching the highlights, my first thought is, their current QB must be pretty dam good if this guy is riding the bench.

His transferring shows instead of quitting, he is reactivating. Reactivating to have a better chance at extending his playing into more years in the NFL. Mullen needs this Bryant next year. The only guy to get mad would be Franks - let Franks transfer to Valdosta State University. Let him become Bell's project. Solid test for Kerwin.

Since Tebow, we've only had one QB in Kelly Bryant's league in Grier and we chased him away.

                            Among Muschamp’s biggest mistakes.

And it wasn’t just the QB position. It blew up that Dwyer group and this development and depth. It screwed up that recruiting pipeline and probably divided the locker room.
