Jim Acosta of CNN walks for a few seconds along some small segment of a border wall and proclaims everything is o.k. And he expects me to believe that? He's an idiot.

If I've stoked some outrage, then my job is done, here. ;)
The question that isn't blowing Jim's mind (but should be): Is there a wall there because everything's okay, or is everything okay because there's a wall there?

Of course a wall "works". People can't walk through a physical barrier.

The issue is is it cost effective in places where there currently isn't one, or is it reasonable given private property ownership and geographical characteristics.

The places where it is geographically impractical are also the place where it isn't needed. Not to mention the fact that more choke points you can create the easier the BPs job is. As for the private property issue, most of the local dissent was to a concrete wall or any solid barrier, which would have affected water flow. A big issue when you realize most of the privately owned land on the US side is used for agriculture and grazing. Most of these folks are OK with a steel barrier as it does not cause the same issues.

In some cases, including thevexisting fence, the wall can't be made on the actual border and has to be built such that it separates part or all.of the property owners property from the US side.

I personally have no problem with a steel barrier if it is cost effective, geographically and ecologically non intrusive and can be worked out with property owners. I'm not sure there are a lot of places left where all the above is true, but I honestly don't know.

That's not the issue according to Pelosi who, unequivocally states the wall is immoral (edited).

I was always kinda partial to this wall:

So is this wall moral or immoral? Or maybe amoral? I'm so confused.

I think the dems should not only fight to keep any new walls or fences being built, but they should go to all the border towns that already have them and demand that they be torn down. Mr. Mayor of El Paso, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!

You doubt she said it? Figured it was fake news? At least tell your buddy (Scooby? or whatever) that the wall works.

Just curious how many times have you visited border towns in the past 10 or so years? Or ever?
