I for one, never saw it coming. That hole opened up and McNeely scampered like his life depended on it and he scored...That was the first time in a very long time I actually left the couch with a vertical leap of surprise and joy.

Great call, great execution. Les Miles doing it, yes...Muschamp...go figure

Exactly the reaction here...and I share you sentiments. It was definitely the spark that lit the fire for the Gators. It changed the game, but not the program...

To the original question..... save it from what?

* The issues are well documented but I just would like to know how one trick play "saves" Florida Football?

(After thinking about it, I think our OL might save this season.)

LOL..I figured I was going to get this response at least once. That is why I said, "ok maybe not to that degree." Again, either way it is going to be a play that Gator Nation will remember forever. Do you at least agree with that?

I think it was a great call. I think that if Muschamp is brought back next year he will revert to the same old school dinosaur trash coach he's been since he got here.

If that fake field goal had backfired people would be calling it "fourth and dumb" redux. There was nothing anything really any different about Muschamp's overall gameplan yesterday than what is his usual gameplan. Conservative, run the ball, field position, kicking game, avoid stupid penalities, play through adversity and so on. Treon Harris was the ultimate game manager. The difference yesterday was that the players executed the gameplan and what a difference that made.

McNeely not only saved the program, he saved the produce section by working eight hours at Publix yesterday.

Picture from gatorzone and Tim Casey. Love the male cheerleaders. Especially the one in the back who looks like he has no clue what is going on.

Yeah if I was McNeely, this picture would be blown up and framed and hanging up in my room.

Look at the blocking. Burton, Westbrook sealed it off and 78? Sharpe? flat out slayed the poor dawg at the 10 yard line..just drove him into the ground.

This. We did it more in 2012 though. The fake was so good, it almost faked out the camera man. Nobody expected it to come.
It faked me out, and I was in the stands right at the line of scrimmage.
