Had a partial family gathering yesterday, mama, big sister & b i l, big brother & s i l, wifey & I and a long term family friend at noonish time.

The menu was fried deer steak, fried okra, fresh conch peas, rice & gravy. Capped with brownies & ice cream.

Simple is often the best.

Sorry, no pichurs!

Son, daughter, and wife did all the fixin.’ Ribeyes on the grill, mushrooms, okra, baked potatoes, and salad with some of my first salad tomatoes. They did it right!

Dessert was super! Wife and daughter picked blueberries yesterday and made a cobbler today. Capped off a nice day! Hope all the fathers had one to remember!

*A little Captain and Dr. Pepper to go along was a nice accent to dessert and supper!

Lunch: Grilled Veggies and A5 WAGYU New York Strip. Steak taken directly from freezer, pan seared, dry souse vide 30 mins at 150F. NYS better than Ribeye for this cut of beef. NYS is a little firmer and feels like steak. Too much marbling on the Ribeye. (Never thought I would say that).

Delish.

Couldn’t agree more . The strip is a superior cut to the ribeye . No question . Great
Looking plate .

I love little green peas. Was that supposed to be a swipe? LeSueur’s are the best.
I must be slippin. I could‘ve sworn you didn’t like English peas. My bad.
