Celebratory dinner with @Seedy for leaving his awful employer, thanks to the lawyer. He starts his new employer tomorrow.

Picked the veggies from the garden. The potatoes were even better than the ribeye which was very good and had a great flavor. Made a wasabi soy dressing for the salad just because I was craving it.

That’s a deal for rib eyes. At that price, I prolly woulda bought a half dozen or so for the freezer. Great looking dinner.

It was a terrific deal which is why I bought them. We have plenty of meat in the freezer but I couldn’t pass this one up today.
I have a friend who caters for large companies. When he buys steaks I usually by a loin with with him at about that price ( cut the steaks 1 1/4"), sometimes a little higher. Great Buy!

Good to know. @Seedy already said the other day that we have “enough” meat in the freezer but did he really mean enough steaks?

One can eat all the seafood, game, pork and chicken you want, they are all fantastic. But every now and then, nothing, and I mean nothing! replaces a good beef steak!

c2 Jr. went on a charter out of PCB this week with my brother-in-law. They caught fish and had a good time…

We enjoyed some of the spoils down at the lake this evening…

S&P, coat it with Zatarain’s and hit with some lemon. Kinda simple, but it was pretty darn good. I could eat a good piece of fried fish every day and not get tired of it.

I’ve only been out once, 27 miles, and got sick as a dog. Been a little nervous ever since. They already had a boatload going, so it was easy for me to stay home and check the cattle, mow, and so forth. I did put up 7 qts of tomatoes, almost as much fun :dunno: However, after seeing the catch and hearing that nobody got sick with the patches, I’m starting to rethink. I hear tell that eating Ginger Snaps also helps. Makes sense as I remember using some ginger candy to help with nausea when I had chemo. I might just give it a try again. As previously noted, I could eat a piece of snapper or grouper everyday and not get tired of it.

Lunch: skillet ribeye (direct from fridge) seared with ghee butter. Potatoes and radishes covered in ghee butter and all everything bagle seasoning, then baked.
