So Andrews burst into the superintendent office screaming and foaming and spitting pieces of sun flower seeds saying the kid was dyslexic and the school board was about to be sued by a team of lawyers.
I heard that the great WR that went to Mich. couldnt get into Fla and then helped beat our butts in the Orlando Bowl. Plaxico B

You know everyone in that story except the player, and I don't mind putting his name out there because, years later while still with the Vikings, he was pulled over in Starke with 20 pounds of pot and $100,000 dollars that the city confiscated and later had to return because they couldn't prove it was drug money.

Uh, Plaxico never played for the Vikings. No idea who you're talking about.

He's a tremendous athlete that has gone to bat for Florida on social media for a year now. I hope he gets a shot later on, I was a fan.

Well if I deciphered his post correctly, sounds like you're going to get your wish if he sticks to it.

Letroy Guion
Football defensive tackle
upload_2019-5-14_8-48-31.jpeg
Description
Letroy Shelton Guion Jr. is an American football defensive tackle who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Florida State. Guion was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Guion also played for the Green Bay Packers. Wikipedia

Born: June 21, 1987 (age 31 years), Starke, FL

At 11:00 PM on February 3, 2015, Guion was driving in Starke, Florida when he was pulled over by police after his vehicle was observed to not be staying in its lane properly. It was discovered that Guion was in possession of 357 grams of marijuana, $190,000 in cash, and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.[18]

On March 24, 2015, Guion reached a plea deal. It included a $5,000 fine plus court costs. Since Guion had no prior record, the charges were dismissed without adjudication of guilt.[19]

Must have been the world's worst or laziest prosecutor.

You're right. He's trying. That's 99% of the difference in life. He gets it. I'm totally behind the kid succeeding.

At the same time, what a sham that we call these kids student athletes. The divide only grows as time goes on.

Exactly the kid is doing what he can to succeed, but had too much ground to make up.

Yep....minus three 4-stars now. It was 14th after the first two, now where would it stand? 16th?
I think it's only fair to say after this season plays out as UF won't be the only team with attrition. This could work against the ranking if things get worse, but measuring directly after the announcement of the departures is not apples to apples. It's knee jerk assessment. We should all take a breath. Losing Black hurts the most, but we have some good LB's in this class, while the CB and QB roster/recruiting is going well.

We were all rooting for the kid. Just to big of a hole to climb out of in the time allotted.

He has shown nothing but love for UF. I hope he can continue to climb toward his goal. The fact that he feels like he let us down says a lot

So.... they aren't available.

Actually there are two limits. On is how many we can sign on signing day, so 25 less countbacks. Obviously all these guys signed. So no change.

The other is "initial counters" which counts those on scholly for their first semester at a school. Again, 25 less countbacks. Both Jalen and Steele were initial counters.

We only get one more initial counter bc of Black, Jalen and Steele leaving or failing to come here.

I read that the Black scholarship should be available since he never enrolled, they only go against the counter if they enroll (vs. just signing). So we'll get one back at least.

No we dont. We keep signing the same kid over and over and over. 200 pound rush specialist/OLB hybrids, about 10 of them now. No real DL, no real LBs.

We are all kinds of fvkked at ILB and safety. Leftover Butters Specials now and walkons or transfers I guess in the future. Im not even sure what the fvkk is going on in our recruiting office.

I agree somewhat...but losing 3 who were all 4-stars hurts and it hurts the rankings. Pumpers can still run with the "we signed a top 10 class" if they want, but the fact is it's actually a 14th or higher ranked class. We're still trying to close the talent gap and losing three 4-stars doesn't help anyway you want to look at it. It's not going to have an impact on the 2019 season at all....but starting in 2020 and beyond we'll look back and say, "man, sure wish we had those extra 4-stars..." (which is why many of us are harping on the poor d-line recruiting).
