In an era when the only thing that matters is playoff rankings, you guys spend WAY too much time worrying about the ones that don’t matter.

I saw this on TV and had to look it up. This is kind of sad.

How is it that team A, beats team B, which beats team C - yet team B & C are ranked ahead of team A?

We've played two FCS teams. Next.
UGA lost to unranked USCe - @ home. We beat USCe in Columbia, by double digits.
We beat Auburn by double digits. Auburn beats oregon.
Our only loss is to a team ranked #4 in this list.

We should be ranked higher than UGA, USCe and Oregon.

I know, win and everything clears itself up.

Frankly, I’m appalled. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same after this unfortunate turn of events.

In this week's AP ratings, Florida is at #7, the highest of the one-loss teams. That's the best that can be expected at this point.

Not that any of it matters.

I was told statistics matter but only if they are "advanced" statistics.
Advanced stats are still shaking themselves out and get better with more inputs. They’re currently all over the map with us but none are as high as the voters: F/+ Combined - 19, S&P - 11, FEI - 26. Keep in mind, those do not include the USC game yet. Should be interesting after last week - a few teams in front lost or played poorly in front of us.

According to ESP, we have the #3 ranked strength of schedule (games played). I think LSU was #1.
