I can think of quite a few worse. He is just your average run of the mill ball control coach.

I can think of quite a few worse. He is just your average run of the mill ball control coach.

I think what makes him worse than the others is the amount of success he had while doing it. As was mentioned, he would seemingly do everything in his power to lose a game and then have defeat snatched away by the most bizarre of scenarios. Getting the BCS nod with 2 losses. The 14 men defense play against the vols where it was over with a bad snap. I mean he beat Meyer on a special teams play. Insane the amount of luck this guy had.

Yeah, I do not know. He's that weird subset of ultra conservative coaches who would run run run and then go for it on 4th & long. Maybe it's something about the cajun swamp water. For him, it magically worked.

However, he wasnt successful at his other stops. I suspect the only rational explanation is that he inherited the $aban recruiting $ystem and just kept it running.

I’ve watched that play a bunch of times including right before I made my post. It’s pretty damn close to a lateral and I could see where the different angles did not provide an opportunity to over turn. Not to mention the fact the UF defenders should have talked the guy for a loss.

Very much a side note, but how much of a complete flaming toolbag do you have to be to watch and listen to a clip like that, and come away thinking that we should reduce the capacity of the Swamp?
