Sounds like what we need to do is partner with The Disney Company and MGM Resorts. Once the Swamp is demolished, the new air-conditioned bowl with retractable roof could incorporate the newest mid-rise luxury hotel suites with floor to ceiling windows, ala Aria Sky Suites. We should put the Gator Walk in the rear view mirror as no self-respecting 5 star should be expected to walk to the stadium having to shake hands with fans. Players of their stature should be taxied to the stadium via rotorcraft, escorted by none other than the white bengal tigers of Sigfried and Roy and a troupe of acrobats from Cirque de Soleil. They would also be in charge of half-time entertainment. I left out the part about the two new jumbotrons running constant twitter feeds and and instagram shots from all the players accounts so they could constantly be relevant..

Glad to see that SOMEBODY around here gets it. Cooter is on the right track. Do you think we lose Laremy Tunsil to Ole Miss if Wolfgang Puck is the new training table chef? Do you think we lose C.J. Spiller to Climpson if Beyonce is performing every Thursday night in the players' lounge? Do you think we lose Derrick Henry to 'Bama if we build a Porsche dealership behind the Ring Tennis Pavilion (and offer free, extended "test drives")? HELL NAW!

Alex.

Yes, Foley gets his share of the blame but certainly not all of it. We are a University with an Athletic Program, not an Athletic Program with a University. These decisions involve more than just one person. Besides, hindsight is 20/20. The important thing is Coach Mac is getting the ball rolling on getting us up to parity with our competitors.

Breaking news ... FSU has again advanced their FB facilities from the
32-pak Crayola Crayons to the 64-pak.

Geez .... they're destroying chairs and stadium seating that should have been sold to a salvage company?
Church Sunday School rooms and BTU rooms could use those individual chairs.

Or just given them away. Hell, I would have grabbed a few and set them up in my garage. How cool would that be?

how safe is Gainesville in terms of ridiculous weather? Is it far enough inland? I only ask because it would suck if something hurricane-related happened to any brand spanking new facilities you guys upgraded to in the future.

Here in TN we only have the occasional tornado or flooding. So I get to enjoy florida athletics (on TV, at least) without the nasty weather. Conversely, being in TN and not the state of Fla sucks.

Hurricane damage that far in wouldn't be too bad - it'd have to be a Cat5 rivaling Andrew to really impact Gville, and even then, wind damage would likely be relatively minimal. Better chance a tornado in Knoxville takes out their big top.

Safe enough that the Odome used to have a tent for a roof.

Odome update:

I'm just hoping that the Rowdy Reptiles are seated on the opposite side (top of the Gator Head Logo) so that when they show on TV, you see the Rowdies. Like Duke has the Cameron Crazies.

Very valid NV. When TV shows our spirited Rowdies, our Gatorhead logo will be rightside up.
