Jefferson said this about once suspended Rick Wells over the credit card scam:

“Sometimes he doesn’t get the credit he deserves”

Jefferson is like the Gator team Rog when it comes to puns.

In actual football news, Hopper looked slow on the video I saw, with lineman beating him to spots. Hopefully that is a first day issue of not knowing what to do yet, because he is on a short list of guys needed next year.

It also means more double pass plays like the days of yore with Chris Doering. Remember the 94 SEC championship vs Bama? Dan could actually line up Krull, Whittemore, Franks, EJ, and Toney on the field at once. Five guys who play or have played QB (maybe only BB for Krull but he’s already thrown in a game for us vs LSU).

I heard LB Pierre has blown up like a basketball. Savage might need to back him off a bit. Notes said he had trouble moving laterally to get in front of the play. But first day so....

Pierce lost a little weight. More speed to go with the power makes him an even better home run threat.

I find it somewhat troubling you were so quickly able to fulfill his request.

It's a travesty if Moon actually lost weight, he already looked like a wide receiver.

From the practice reports they said he "actually looks like a DE now" (saying he is much bigger). Again, take those sizes w/ a grain of salt. Carter said he's 285 just last week. It's ridiculous and they do it every year.

Blah blah blah...
we also got reports that polite was going to grow into a defensive tackle

Slaton 358 :eek3: up 15 from 343. Unless his stamina has doubled there's no way he can play more than a few plays at a time at that weight. Combined with poor instincts for the position, I don't see how he can live up to the expectations I had for him coming in.

Donkey, allow me to recommend the classic aluminum foil hat. The model I use allows me to dial out certain comments - such as highly enthusiastic estimates of a player's potential weight, height, talent, academic standing or likelihood of being able to stay the hell out of jail. Not only does it help to avoid undue jubilation before the fact, it seriously reduces the volume of background noise.

Poor instinct like blowing up every blocker and attacking his gap, and making the 240 pounders look bad?
