Another one from GatorZone. Not a lot of practice footage but you get to hear what the boosters that attended have to say about Gator football in general and what they liked about the practice. Did any of our posters here on GCMB get in on one of these interviews?

Thanks for the videos JC and Navet very cool. Jones looks like he did against the :nole: Shoulders down behing his pads and no hesitating, with he and Taylor we looks like we got a good 1-2.

Jones problem is his first step is too slow. I hope they get Lane some carries and mostly use Jones on passing downs.

I agree Jones looks back to his old form. I also think Powell is turning some heads. From what I understand it is Taylor, Jones, Powell as the top 3 with Brown and Lane hot on their heels. I think RB is our deepest and best position.

I know I will get attacked for this but Jones old form is he is too slow out of the gate. That FSU game he mostly got those big runs after we had Jumbo packaged FSU to death. Lane appears to be a much better option as a runner anyway to me.

Jones is not our every down back. He performs best late simply because defenses are a step slower and struggle to tackle such a load late. Lane is the better every down back, and might even see more carries at RB if Jones plays the B position consistently.

Is Lane banged up I wonder. Haven't heard much about him these practices.

He left Friday night's practice early, and I have been searching for any information on that. As far as I know he hasn't practiced since and neither has Goolsby.

No it really isn't imo, he doesn't have elite speed , 4.5-6 range but every bit of video I've seen on him this year he's moving like he was in 2012. Last year he was to slow you're right about that , but be fair to the kid. He just came back from a very bad stomach ailment and had lost 15 or so lbs. He wasn't in shape and was trying to get back into fitness. Nobody is as quick when they're weak and out of strength. Agreee about Lane but you're gonna see a lot of Jones in the backfield, both to run and flair out for the pass, quite frankly it'll be a major headache for the DC to have to account for both him an Mcgee. But Roper has said repeatedly and shown at Duke that he likes to share the load so I wouldn't worry to much about touches for any of them.
