Shoulders down behing his pads and no hesitating, with he and Taylor we looks like we got a good 1-2.Jones problem is his first step is too slow. I hope they get Lane some carries and mostly use Jones on passing downs.sonomagator said:Thanks for the videos JC and Navet very cool. Is Lane banged up I wonder. Haven't heard much about him these practices.JC_Gator said:Jones is not our every down back. He performs best late simply because defenses are a step slower and struggle to tackle such a load late. Lane is the better every down back, and might even see more carries at RB if Jones plays the B position consistently.
He left Friday night's practice early, and I have been searching for any information on that. As far as I know he hasn't practiced since and neither has Goolsby.JC_Gator said:Jones is not our every down back. No it really isn't imo, he doesn't have elite speed , 4.5-6 range but every bit of video I've seen on him this year he's moving like he was in 2012. Last year he was to slow you're right about that , but be fair to the kid. He just came back from a very bad stomach ailment and had lost 15 or so lbs. He wasn't in shape and was trying to get back into fitness. Nobody is as quick when they're weak and out of strength. Agreee about Lane but you're gonna see a lot of Jones in the backfield, both to run and flair out for the pass, quite frankly it'll be a major headache for the DC to have to account for both him an Mcgee. But Roper has said repeatedly and shown at Duke that he likes to share the load so I wouldn't worry to much about touches for any of them.sonomagator said:Thanks for the videos JC and Navet very cool. A second floor mini-mall food court. Great marketing idea. Especially in cold weather country.CDGator said:Dinner last night was at the Publix “bar”. We got pub subs, Oreo pie and a beer.I’m a little embarrassed and a bit amused. They even have upstairs seating where you can look out and watch the shoppers.
