Saw this earlier this week and wanted to chime in for my boy. Have a girl as well on the left that I inherited with the marriage. But lost my boy, Romeo(right) in Feb. Damn how tough it still is to type that.

That’s actually three houses down from me, so technically no, it didn’t follow me home.

Bear has a duck that used to look just like that one. That's a great looking chocolate. My biz partner had one that was fooking crazy.. He would eat anything. He chewed up and broke a 4" pvc elbow. He schit a basketball he ate. Walt had a bunch of mexicans over doing some work and he snatched all their lunches and ate them all. I witnessed him grabbing the Thankgiving turkey one year off the counter that had been partially carved. He also thought jumping in the pool next to you was acceptable behavior.

Wow Coot! I have had that experience with this breed myself. Had a black male that became too much....actually ate a hole in our wall one day when we were all at work. This one is much different, in fact complete opposite end of that spectrum.

Looking forward to seeing how he does in the blind this year.

Ahh...I'm slow. We were sitting at the table getting ready for the blessing and Cobie had been standing near the turkey ever since it was set on the counter. He was really a big chocolate and you could just sense what was about to happen. Walt's watching going "Don't you do it you fuk!" Cobie didn't even need to jump really and Walt dove but he had the turkey in his mouth and wasn't gonna give it up too easily. They were both flailing around and Walt drug him into the powder room and came out with about 1/2 the bird, slamming the door on Cobie and left him in the bathroom the rest of the day. It was really hilarious.

That's funny! I have a redbone coon hound (he has cancer, we don't expect him to be with us much longer) and we call him "Bump" (short for Bumpis, from the Bumpis hounds).

Had a Lab/Redbone mix named Jethro. One of the best dogs we had. Cherish the time with him that you have left.

Great way to end a day...

                                  C3978FFC-FE72-4ADE-A639-88D450102DCD.jpeg

Ran into an old high school friend at lunch the other day and he’d recently lost his 11 year old lab. He said he would ordinarily grieve a year or so before finding a new one, but at his age (64) he decided that he wasn’t going to waste any of the time he had left. Good for him. Dogs just make life that much better.

Most evenings Gunner jumps up in my lap after supper, gets his ears rubbed and his slats scratched, and then takes a short snooze until he hears the missus rattle the food dish. There’s something very peaceful and comforting about him. He just turned six, right about middle age, and it makes me want to enjoy his company as much as I can.

The video of the dog who refused to let the paramedics take his master away without him reminded me of coming home from the hospital after having a foot and a half of my colon removed when it perforated after a wreck. My belly was sewed up and I had a colostomy bag. Couldn’t do much but lay there. Much to the wife’s concern, Gunner laid with me until I was able to get up and down. He was a great comfort and very patient and loyal. We humans could learn a lot about what’s really important from our dogs. I can’t imagine life without them.

Our community sprung up when the Gatorsports message board was shut down in the summer of 2014. We pride ourselves on offering Gator-biased, yet critical discussion among people of all different backgrounds. We are working every day to make sure our community is the best Gator message board you will find.

The management works very hard to make sure the community is running the best software, best designs, and all the other bells and whistles. Care to buy us a non-alcoholic Zima? We'd really appreciate it! Just click the "Donate" tab at the top of the page.
