First coaches poll is out... we're on it

25. Florida. The Gators went 10-4 in Jim McElwain's first season in Gainesville, and they enter 2016 facing the same question: What will they get at quarterback? If Luke Del Rio stabilizes that spot, Florida can beat anyone in the SEC East.

I will take it for now. I had a feeling that one writer's predicted coaches top 25 poll was way off.

Being ranked is one of the most meaningless/meaningful things out there. It doesn't help at all for your goals of 1) getting to Atlanta 2)getting into the playoffs. But that little number by your name keeps you relavent on the national landscape from a perception standpoint. If Miami and we are recruiting a JR Mike Backer from Topeka, just seeing that little number next to our name when he's flipping through ESPN gives some advantage over scUM who doesn't have one.

That's what I'm talking about. I do like being somewhat under the radar but some do see us as dangerous. If Del Rio is just a good manager of the offense and can produce........the writer is correct. Coach Mac has had these type of QB's before...Wilson, McElroy, McCarron. Worked out pretty well for those dudes. If we can get to ATL with Freon, no reason we cannot do the same with Del Rio.
