which is why from the beginning it wasn't going to work here. You need more than that, Kirby caught a down Florida, down Tennessee, down LSU, and an Alabama that was showing the trend on the tires. It was a miss opportunity by the administration when they hired both Mullen and Napier. They lack what guys like Meyer, Saban, Spurrier have which is a hatred of losing.
We had Foley during that time which is why we went down and uga went up. We had uga's neck under our boot while Foley drove us off the cliff

Strickland's fingerprints are all over the last two hires. The AD is only doing what their management is telling them to do, raise money and no public black eyes.

Sure... Foley is this mastermind alpha... just by that description, I can tell you have never met the man. Foley is just a yes man... same as Strickland.

Lower arm “tribal” tattoos on a 70 year old man. I think that about sums both the person himself, and where we are right now.

about a year and a half ago, almost hit Foley with my car going into Publix in Newberry square.. Told the wife, and she said I should have hit the gas instead of the brake.

I did meet him, several times...hated the dbag as did most of the people working for him (I had a relative that worked there). He was a big reason Spurrier left. He was a huge part of the problem that shifted the philosophy in the AD.

He was just following orders. He might have agreed with the plan, but he isn't the "alpha" unless you have a low bar for "alphas". I have known Foley since he was in the interm AD, multiple members of my family, friends, etc have worked with the athletic department, coaching staffs (multiple sports), and adjacent departments for 4 decades. The last leader we had in the position of AD was probably Carr.

I gotta tell ya the besmirching of the Gator brand this offseason has gotten a little out of control. This is absolutely and unfortunately difficult schedule upcoming for a program that needs to generate some positive momentum. But the narrative nationally has bordered on slanderous, almost implying that every school south of Montana has more talent than the orange and blue. My belief is that with a fairly average amount of improvement from the talent on hand. This is probably a top 20 roster heading into this year. That is actually barring any of a couple of key guys making significant jumps. My belief is that it will be tough, but we are going to win a couple of games that Vegas says that we shouldn’t this year. The biggest key for Napier is to find a way to not drop what has become an annual loss to at least one team that they shouldn’t. I for one and really excited While saying Little, prayers nightly before bed that S James, Tre Wilson and Slaughter can stay healthy for 12+ games.

We have have the talent to be a 9/10 win team even with this schedule. If the staff gets there they will see 2025.

Thats what I have been saying for a while. He is Kirby Dumb 2.0 but the problem is Napier isn't getting nor has the talent to overcome his dumbs while Kirby has it in spades (and still finds ways to lose the championships)
Kirby was a competent P5 coordinator. Slingblade was a recruiting quality assistant who Saban finally let on the field as a WR coach after many years.

Foley is a beta and as dumb as McElshark. No wonder the interview went so well. But he is an arrogant, dumb beta.

The only way we win some games we shouldnt is if the team we are leading by 7 points cant score in the 2nd quarter. I have never seen any coach completely shut down and pray that we can outlast another team with a slight lead. This is my fear heading into the season. The man has ZERO aggressive drive. If the 7 point lead doesnt hold up we have to hear about the great respect he has for the program that just kicked our ass. Never seen anything like it.

Which is why I said we have the talent for it. Anything less then we should be looking for a new coaching staff.
