I’m not sure how I feel about this. He had just come over this year and Napier has swore by him for how impactful he’s been. And Georgia has been hot after him to fill the same role and finally got him from us.

But since he’s been here our recruiting has been crap.

So no hard feelings.

I’ve been in financial services/sales my entire career. I can assure you, the best people mean nothing when the the product/trade/investment is poor. Anyone good at selling anything will run from this staff unless they have a banner season and a clear path forward to success here. It’s just the reality that we face and the situation Napier’s put himself in. Dig yourself out, and I will give you credit. Otherwise, this is the tip of the iceberg and will be even worse—substantially worse—if we happen to retain him ever the upcoming season.

It is rare to see somebody dig themself out. We saw it recently with Norvell. But it’s not common.

Agreed, but it will never happen.

We’re asking the people making the decisions to fire themselves.
Our only hope was a new school president that was outside the typical mold that might have the guts to make the necessary changes.
Unfortunately he’s gone now so it’s back to elbow patches and academia as usual so I don’t anticipate anything changing.
