Just in case anyone was going to forgot when they turned on the TV this evening.
Should be 4: Grossman got jobbed
Heisman shows are so drug out. Just tune in the final 10 minutes and to see winner. Usually see Spurrier and Danny attending.
It’ll be 4 after Trask beats Franks and Jones out to assume the starting job next season.
I'm penciling in Franks for the next two. Can I get a like?
Yes, and Tebow had 2 and was screwed.
He did? Where was I for #2?
Yep. No way Bradford should have won over him.
Tebow had the most 1st-place votes yet was deliberately left completely off a whole bunch of ballots so he wouldn’t win again. The scumbags who did that should have had their voting privileges pulled.
Yeah we should honestly have five.
I would agree with that. Tim's 2009 wasn't too shabby either.
He was left off of the ballot of most Midwest votes so that Bradford could win
The midwest schools took a page out of the hillbilly’s playbook (remember the ‘95 “coach’s” poll?). I’m guessing Timmy was okay with the consolation prize he won in miami... against bradford.
Yeah, but it's not the point. He was deliberately and blatantly screwed, and they weren't even apologetic about it. He was absolutely and without question the best player in college football in 2008.
Tebow's numbers were outstanding, esp when you factor in 673 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns for a total of 42 touchdowns. But I'd fall short of calling it a deliberate screw job. Bradford had crazy numbers, including 50 touchdowns, after the regular season. What we now know that the Heisman voters didn't know was that Tebow would lead Florida past Bradford's Oklahoma in the BCS title game.
Absolutely agree, they should be hung by their thumbs for one week per month for the rest of their lives. I was just pointing out that Timmy and Gator Nation got the last laugh... and all the haters will be miserable anytime they think about the 2008 crystal trophy.
It was deliberate and it was widely known at the time. MANY from the Big 12 region voted Bradford, McCoy and then Crabtree or Harrell to ensure Tebow didn’t win in a landslide over Bradford. Absolute sham and a total lack of integrity IMO.
Okay, what was the voting from the SEC region? Just curious.
78, I never said Tebow's numbers were crazy better than the other two overrated POS idiots. All I said is that it was clear he was the BEST PLAYER in college football, which is what the award is supposed to be. He had just come off the best game of his entire career, a SECCG win over Bama without Percy, in which he put the entire team on his back in the second half. It was the best game he ever played and one of the greatest performances in history.
