He took a team that was one of the top teams in the SEC west under Jackie Sherrill and went 33-39. Youre not some idiot 20 year old who doesn't remember them being one of the toughest outs in the west. Yeah, Sherrill hung around too long and sucked at the end of that run, but we saved Cousin Eddie from getting fired because he couldn't even beat a damn sub100 IQ Ole Miss coach who was on probation. Even Miss schools don't accept loses to U South Alabama.
He has a winning record against exactly one team, Kintucky. He couldn't even win against two other "steaming pyle of shyt schools" Arky and Ole Miss, one of whom a neanderthal as a coach and the other who was under investigation and on probation during that time.
As for your allegation, why would predicting mediocrity out of a coach with a record for mediocrity make me look insightful? If any other team hired their third guy (at best and God we better have called a bunch more) with a 33-39 record, we'd laugh. You just can't take off your orange and blue goggles. That is ok. We all have it to some extent.
It's like predicting that the OC from Trailerbammer who took the best roster EVER and lost 9-6 to Grasseater sucked as an offensive coordinator. It is not much of an accomplishment, frankly.
Does Mullinz have SOME good things in his background? Yes. Have I been generally happy with what he has done? Yes, so far. However, on balance is his resume mediocre. Nothing is changed. It makes you look silly to try to exaggerate the resume of a guy who lost to S Alabama. Is it likely he is suddenly now a great recruiter and a championship coach? absolutely not.
No one in the SEC is shaking in their shoes at another three years of the QB Up The Middle offense.
