As you know, for at least two years I have been toying with a right-leaning political board. Having had 3 boards fail since Gatorchatter, I have learned the hard way that it's easy to start a forum; the hard part is getting people to actually show up.

Hence, one idea was to actually transfer the content of this PF to a new board, effectively taking politics off of Gatorchatter, which I felt would accomplish multiple positive things. However, the downside was that I knew how upset so many of the core members would be, and I simply cannot do that.

You have to keep in mind Gatorchatter is not a political board, and it's intent was never to become one. I'd prefer to look at my fellow Gator fans as brethren and not political foils. Sadly, with everything in the world now politicized including sports, there's just no way to avoid it. However, I've always thought the PF here was one of the best-kept secrets in America - such smart, knowledgeable members that give great takes. Part of me feels it's a crime that it's so hidden away from the rest of the sane country.

However, with lunacy taking over America, I feel it's both a tremendous financial opportunity (as a proud Capitalist) and somewhat of a duty as an American to give people that haven't lost their minds a place to speak. This is especially important with Google, Facebook, and Twitter blatantly censoring right-wing opinions. I would expect a mass exodus from those outlets in the coming years. The potential of such a place is so much higher than Gatorchatter (which has a small niche market) it's off the charts.....

.....that is, if people actually show up and contribute....which is where you come in.

All I'm asking is that you help me get this community off the ground by registering and starting a thread or offering a post here and there. I'm not asking you to leave this PF. I'm not asking you to become a permanent daily fixture on the new board. I'm asking you help me start an outlet that will eventually reach tens of millions of good Americans.

The board is not completely ready, but it's close enough to get going. If you're having any technical issues (like not getting your confirmation email) please let me know.

Good points. People like MJM certainly demonstrate that it's better for people like us to just roll over and shut up, and let the left have what they want. It's certainly not worth any kind of effort to fight back, or even talk about it for that matter. After all, we're all just racists that need to scurry off somewhere and die.
