Norvell hired Bruce Warwick as Chief of Staff. Actually a really good hire. He comes from the Rams, where he was the Director of Operations under Sean McVay.

I think Norvell himself was a good hire. I was hoping for them to hire someone who wasn't in my people I'd hire before Mullen list. I know some people disagreed with that at the time as well

Norvell also poached MS State's LB coach. Looks like Norvell is assembling a good staff.

Unfortunately, he's quietly doing a good job so far. Need to hope he struggles recruiting.

What concerns me is the Warwick hire, who was specifically hired for his experience in facilities.

Went to look at the staff (so far) on thief website. It’s not updated. Hilarious...the PR office must be dehydrated.

I think they could’ve done worse but I have watched Memphis and its not a terrifying hire. He continued the success of his predecessor. Definitely nothing to sneeze at but that’s not the situation he’s inheriting so tough to know if that’s a good hire.

FSU coaches salaries and support staff:

Assistants will make $5.25 million:

Kenny Dillingham (Offensive Coordinator): 3 years, 625,000 annually
David Johnson (Running Backs Coach, Recruiting Coordinator): 2 years, $400,000 in Year 1 and $450,000 in Year 2
Chris Thomsen (Tight Ends Coach, Deputy Head Coach): 2 years, $500,000 annually
Alex Atkins(Offensive Line Coach): 2 years, $500,000 annually
Adam Fuller (Defensive Coordinator): 3 years, $800,000 annually
John Papuchis (Defensive Ends Coach/Special Teams Coordinator): 3 years, $550,000 annually
Chris Marve (Linebackers Coach/Run Game Coordinator): 2 years, $500,000 annually

Odell Haggins and Ron Dugans have contracts that have not expired and are still in effect. Haggins' contract, per the most recent contract obtained by Noles247, expires at the end of January. His listed annual salary is $472,000. Dugans' contract goes through the entirety of this year, and he'll make $450,000.

TJ Rushing did not sign a contract or LOU with FSU before he left for Texas A&M, per an FSU spokesperson.

FSU is paying a buyout to Maryland for Papuchis, Tennessee for Johnson and Mississippi State for Marve. The specific amount owed to those universities is not listed in the LOUs, although a 90-day payment date is listed.

Below are the dates in which the contracts were executed for the respective coaches:

12/16/2019: Dillingham and Fuller

12/20/2019: Marve and Thomsen

12/28: Atkins and Papuchis

1/3: Johnson

The salary pool for FSU's 10 assistant coaches under Norvell is $5,250,000, per Norvell's contract (released last month). It's believed that some coaches took pay cuts to be a part of this staff. For instance, Johnson was making roughly $505,000 at Tennessee according to reports.

Support staff $635,000:

--Storms (S&C): Will make $300,000 annually on a two-year deal, from Jan. 2 2020-Dec. 31 2021. He had a signing bonus of $10,000.

--Warwick (Chief of Staff): $250,000 annually. His deal is through FSU’s Department of Athletics, so it has slightly different dates as his appointment runs from Jan. 2 2020-Aug. 7 2020. (This is believed to be the transition period in the fiscal year at FSU, and the deal is expected to roll after Aug. 7).

--Locklyn (Director of HS relations): $85,000 annually. His deal is through FSU’s Department of Athletics, so it has slightly different dates as his appointment runs from Dec. 13 2019-Aug. 7 2020. (This is believed to be the transition period in the fiscal year at FSU, and the deal is expected to roll after Aug. 7).

Storms’ agreement is technically a Letter of Understanding, which is essentially a less complex contract that holds basic terms of a deal.

Combined, the trio is making $635,000 annually.
