The players are behind him I understand. He might do ok.
LOL he wouldn't do okay, he'd be an effing disaster. I've seen a lot of garbage coaches with the "players behind them". The players LOVED Chimp, remember?

It's a moot point, FSU would not promote that glorified water boy to head coach in 2 million years. They are looking to make a splash with an accomplished coach. The fans and boosters would absolutely go insane if they hired a nobody.

I have always had this belief in regards to assistant coaches. My theory is that if you fire the head coach you are in essence firing the entire staff. Whereas if a successful coach retires and you promote from within, then it is different. But firing a head coach b/c he sux usually means the entire staff sux. Larry Coker was fired by scrotUM b/c he sucked as a head coach and those morons promoted the scrotUM lifer in Shannon. Players loved him and they were decent on paper b/c they had lots of talent. Well year after year they got worse and worse and the inevitable occurred. When you ax a coach it is best to flush the entire staff right behind him. Promoting an assistant loser after firing the head loser is not a recipe for success.

It isn't the best case scenario, but it also isn't the worst.

His moniker is "Big Game" Bob, but honestly, he hasn't been good in big games for a long time, and there's a reason he retired.

If he goes there, he goes there, oh well.

Hoping this is a troll job or they actually come back with Deion Sanders instead.

I hear ya, I remember beating him/them in the ob when they had the "best qb in the country" and we were underdogs
Yeah, with tim behind center and meyer on the sideline. Stoops would run circles around mullen. You're insane if you think otherwise.
