He needs his offense to mutiny.
If DJ was smart, he'd spend the Christmas Holidays tucked away at home in TX, putting together an offensive scheme with 50+ plays he wanted to run and knew he could perfect and then hand it to Retard and simply tell him, "this is the offense I can run to help us win championships". Any of us that actually thinks Billy will hire a play-caller needs to sit the Bourbon down and wake up, but if DJ dictated what he wanted to run and could be successful at, I'd bet Billy would listen to him.

“Room Temp” would be like the Sahara Desert heat for that bunch of brain surgeons.

I really dislike FSU, but this would be funny no matter who this was happening to. That it’s happening to them does make it particularly funny.

Looking on the horizon, I really can’t see things getting any better. The product on the field was terrible this year and unlikely to improve much next year. Add to that the cash disparity between the ACC versus the B1G & the SEC and they could fall into decades of irrelevance unless their alums pony up some serious coin; again and again

I think you’re right but they still are only 2 years away from competing for the playoff if they make a change next year. The reason is the same thing they are complaining about - the ACC. It doesn’t take a massive turnaround for them to be one of the best 4 in that conference.

But just imagine going 2-10 with that conference schedule. It's beyond belief any coach could do a job that poor and not get fired.

“No DJ. I understand you can throw the ball 50 yards on a rope, but we’re not gonna run those downfield pass plays you drew up. It’s too risky. Trust me…we’ll be much better off running the ball up the middle against a loaded box…and maybe we’ll sprinkle in 1-2 bubble screens every game. The NFL scouts love to see film of that.”

As sad as that most likely would be the scenario, I still can't decipher where / why he gave himself the "scared money..." moniker when there's absolutely nothing risky or aggressive or gambling with his play-calling. It has to be a joke and he ran with it thinking it made him seem innovative.

The maddening part is that when he DOES take a risk or do something aggressive (like going for it on a 4th down or faking a punt) it's usually a bad decision in that particular game script. His natural instincts regarding situational football when the ball is kicked off are some of the worst I've ever seen.

I now prefer to call it the "Billy tax".

I'll give ox credit. He's certainly come around. I made this exact post in season 1 after the UT game and he started a whole thread about why I was an a$$hole.

Now the fact that I am one, that's really beside the point...
