Prep goes on and on. Piecing together parts is only the beginning, then you have to sand the gaps so they are flush, and fill them so they’ll be invisible. These gaps are getting filled with two part epoxy, then sanded, then putty, more sanding, etc. There are countless hours before you even get to painting.

Wanted to get the dome painted, because this chrome paint takes about a month to cure.

Base is put together, now it's time to get some putty on it.
