Power went off today at 10:50 am and came back on at 8:50 pm. A truck plowed into a concrete power pole and knocked it loose. From the looks of the truck, I doubt anyone made it out alive.

Update: The 25 year old guy did survive, but is in critical condition...

That sucks. Around here if the wind blows too hard the power can go out. I finally saved my pennies and bought a generator just to be able to have a little light, keep the fridge running enough for food not to rot, and charge the personal electronic devices.

No, my 10000 watt portable generator ran for over 7 hours keeping my two fridges and freezer purring along.
