I suspected that the idiots in South Carolina felt this way but I had it validated yesterday.
I talked with two diehard Gamecock fans I know and both of them were ripping Steve a new one about how he has let the program decline and how he couldn't recruit nor call plays anymore.
One of them actually said that Steve set their program back 5-6 years in the last 12 months.

I sat there and listened and thought just how stupid they are. It sure didn't take long for them to forget that they were East Carolina ten years ago and now they think they are Bama or Florida.

Good luck getting another Spurrier caliber coach to come to the vast wasteland you idiots.

If they're going to treat Spurrier so poorly, it's the karma they deserve. I hope they turn into Tennessee, with a string of embarrassing coaches reaching well into the 2020's and beyond.

Meh...plenty of Gators talked poorly of him when he left us. It's what idiot fans do when they think they're entitled after several good years under a great coach.

SOS put them on the map in the first place (sort of). Without him, they wouldn't be in the position to be "set-back" by his retirement. Bunch of ungrateful bastards.:law:

They're going to be wishing they were Tennessee. It's gonna get real bad up there imo.

Tanner was a great baseball coach, but he is a pure dumbass as an athletic director. He'll **** it up somehow, maybe even keep that raving cheerleader Elliott on permanently perhaps, it wouldn't be shocking.

If they get Bisaccia or Fuente I think they will be decent. I like either of those guys as head coach at USC.
