This is the same thing I say about tailgates. If someone is there you may not like, you can easily avoid them. I’ve done it. I’ve also talked to people I disagree with on the internet and have thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. You in an open area with plenty of other people, you aren’t forced into any conversation you don’t want to be part of.
