Florida won 57-51. Lots of positives

1. We played way better offensively, but couldn't hit a thing. We shot 6-26 for 3pters and almost everyone of them was wide open

2. We played at a faster tempo until white went full stall balk choke artist again

3. White realized Stone isn't playing well and he only played him 13 min

Lots of negatives

1. Hudson started at PF

2. White choked the game away playing stall ball up 16 with 5 min left. Telling the players to run clock instead of offense when they broke the press

3. We suck against a press

4. Tennessee is next lol

Great points and I saw Lee is now working on Gator bball radio. It was great seeing him, and if we had a balanced team like those NC teams that would be great.

They could beat a team in any way required. You go zone and Lee beats you, you don't defend inside and our bigs destroy you. we turn you over and get easy baskets.

This team does none of these things reliably.

Stumbled onto White's youtube coaching practice session. Compared it to coach K's session.
You can hear the statement differences.
1) White says when you take your shot, notice your position on the floor.
2) coach K says don't care where you are on the floor, only attend to where the rim is from where your jump is.
Think about our shooter attending to floor position relative to him more than rim position relative to him.??

Coach K also tells them, big men included, always bend forward when handling the ball outside and when dribbling never bounce the ball above the level of your knees. Watch our guys standing nearly erect outside and bouncing the ball close to the height of their jersey #. The defenders get invited into positioning advantage.
K's lean forward position with low quicker dribble allows for slicing drives if defender gets close. Beat the defender and the next time he takes a lean-back posture ready to keep with your cut. That gives you room to go up squared for a shot.

White can't be practicing his guys with details like that. White's probably more detailed with training the defenses, because these players execute defense well. Gator players have really improved their defensive skills, but deteriorated their offensive skills. So he gets credit for that good defensive style. Shouldn't he be given discredit for poor offensive style that's dragging on all season so far?

With the opponents we've still to face, with White coaching the same way we'll be lucky to win 40% of our games.
We should not be satisfied with this "stagnant quo". Maybe things will improve?

Sounds like White could benefit from attending a Coach K clinic.

All for it CG. It's a tall order, so all coaches should stand on the shoulders of giants.
