Just curious how long people were posting on GSMB before coming here. I remember being on GSMB when Zook was fired and Meyer was hired. Was probably around a few months before that. Might have joined Zook's last season here. Can't imagine it was much before that because I seem to remember being deployed the year Leak was a freshman and we lost to Miami after being ahead early. So it had to be after that football season but definitely before the Zook firing and Meyer hiring.

Anyone else remember when they joined?

I think I have 2 more decent years in me.

I'd say around 1999 or so. I remember some Vol troll on 9/11 wishing that the WTC was full of Gator fans. I also remember the board crashing the day Spurrier resigned.

February 18, 2012. The only reason i remember is because it was the day Kelvin Taylor committed and I signed up to join in on the joy of signing our first real rb commit in what seemed like 10 years.

I migrated to the Gator board sometime after the Rome board was shut down...98 or so. Been T REX for a long long time.

July 4th, 2000. First home computer on sale from office depot. Still have sign up/password notebook.

Summer of 2007.

It was sometime around 1994 mostly for recruiting news, and began posting probably a year later. I remember posters by the name of Big Cypress and Gatorman32 who brought pretty good info to follow. I remember years later this loudmouth named Vero Gator showing up. Then he became El Presidente.

I don't have the slightest idea how I got here.

Well I don't know the year, but I was known as the anti-vole, the board was one long series of posts, I used dial up to get on and I think some antique program running DOS. Seems like 1985.

I have lurked since 2003, when I was 7. My dad was always on the forum and I couldn't get enough of Gator football. I signed up like 7 hours ago though for the first time on any forum for what its worth.

Now that I look at how everything has happened, it's obvious this was all a carefully crafted plan.

Sometime in the late 90's. The quality kept getting worse. The NYT owners were bad but not nearly as bad as these last yahoos. I almost didn't come back doing their 1st crash.

Only 2 years ago for me. I lurked for about a year or two and then finally decided to join. Was a "pumper" that first year, but I lost my midline and couldn't get a grip. Haven't been the same since.

Seems like some Golden Age of Gator football posters are still around. Nice to see. At the end of the day we all still wants the best for our teams.

As far as I'm concerned the board ceased to exist until I arrived.

Get a damn avatar. And it had better be clean.

In order for it to cease to exist, it had to exist to begin with.

The GSMB is dead. This is a new era.

The board has been very wonkey this week. I know others have mentioned it too. Times out or just lags.

Have you seen the video where they put a sound chip in a roomba? Evertime it hits something, a human voice reacts like when we stub a toe, hit our head on a cabinet, or hit our knee on the corner of a table.
    no, hilarious
