I'd love to have him back but he'll probably get another job as a head coach

Amazing that he left VCU and they are still rolling pretty well, and Bama is a craphole for bball. He would likely be doing quite well if he stayed at VCU

He's had some bad luck with injuries and suspensions

I wasn't blaming him, it is just that VCU is a better bball program than Bama and probably will be for the foreseeable future.

Bama isn't a basketball school and never will be. I know people used to say that about Florida, but at least you have talent to draw from in this state. It would take a miracle for Bama to become a great basketball program.

As for Grant, I'd be very surprised if he didn't land a HC gig at a mid-major next year. But if he doesn't, I'd love to have him back on our staff.

Nevada just fired their Coach and is in need.

Let's see... Mark Fox was at Nevada, prior to going to Georgia, and led them to a Sweet 16.

Larry Shyatt is at Wyoming and a former Gator Assistant....

It would be great if Grant came back to our staff next year, but I believe he will be the HC somewhere else.

Look who got lost and ended up in a basketball thread. AG will do well in some place that likes and understands basketball.
Hope he does not land in Miami or another Fla school (except us)

I think Grant is an "ok" Coach but I don't see him as the "next" anyone...

He was a good recruiter for us so I guess we could use him if the spot opened up

Grant will for sure get a head coaching job somewhere else. Perhaps UF if Billy D jumps ship?

I don't know if I'd be thrilled with that hire. But who knows who the alternatives would be. People who complain about Billy D having one off year will learn real quick what he means to the program if he decides to leave. I don't think he'll leave though.

I don't think he'll leave either. Just thought I would throw it out. But, if he ever did leave I suspect Shaka Smart would get a call.
