I first started this as a temporary place to chat as the GSMB was supposedly being updated. I wasn't expecting them to shut down and tell us they were never coming back. After that happened, my first year was spent being nervous that I was going to blow it and everyone would leave.

Now I close the board and I have two dozen posters staring at their screens clicking refresh for 48 straight hours. I actually got a post from an unnamed member in the 90 seconds I opened to do some testing yesterday morning.
