A win in hostile territory puts UF in the SEC championship game for the 2nd straight year and would go along way to quieting down the 'noise in the system". But a loss, even with all the injuries, might be enough for the fan base to turn away from Ol HeHa.

Former Coach Steve Spurrier used to say that winning the SEC Championship was the most important goal every year, if you win that game other things just fall into place. To have a chance to win the Championship game you have to be one of the two teams playing in the game and that's what is on the table for Florida today. Win and move on to a probable Butt whipping from Bama or lose and have to hear the the voices of dissatisfaction until next season. Can Mac survive a loss to LSU with so much on the line?

*** Have to acknowledge that many have already given up on this staff, will a unexpected win bring them back?

Stay tuned....

Yep a win here or at FSU would take the heat off of Mac some.

With 8 starters out on a team that isn't deep? A win would be a miracle. So winning doesn't move the needle, nor does losing. Now, winning this week AND next week, that might be instructive.

It's a must win. He needs to show us that he's capable of overcoming adversity instead of hiding behind a truck load of pumper excuses. Let's do this.

Well, how about that outcome? Proved all the nay-sayers and experts wrong!

Will Mac find some love from the Gator Nation now?

Depends - if Mac beats FSU or Bama he probably assures himself a 4th season despite the recruiting. If he loses both of those he could possibly be on the way out if we lose 4 games again in 2017.

1 down and 1 to go. This is a decent win. On the road and for the East. LSU really handed us the game though. I'm glad we took it. I don't think we played very well overall but it was enough to pull out a tough road win.

Beat FSU and I will really think we are turning the corner.
