Our 1995 level offense is going to get done in by our 1995 level defense.
1995 had a Thorpe award safety/1st team All American and two all sec CBs.

That is a terrible insult to them.

1995 didn't have a talent problem as much as a coaching problem. now we have both poor talent and poor coaching.

honestly I'd take Zook over Grantham and you know how I hate Zook.

I would too but we still gave up a crap ton of points game after game. The offense covered the deficits until we ran into a team that could slow down SOS’a air show.

Stoops was Immediately brought in to set it straight in 96 and the rest is history.

Like many things, it depends. I've seen many 13-10 types games that were awesome with both teams playing great D and both offenses trying to figure out how to break through. I much prefer that to watching bad football on one side of the ball.

.......than 13-10?

It just is. It is more fun to watch and you know MOST SEC teams cant score much against air.

Sorry to all you Neanderthal ball lovers.

Now I really wish we would add tempo. Imagine the stress.

Imagine if we could add some D. Hokey phukkin' smokes Bullwinkle!

It is true that it is definitely a more entertaining brand of football to watch. A welcome change. That said, of course, it wouldn’t kill us to play a little defense every now and than.

At least if we lose it may be more entertaining.

**** no on chuckles.

Go out and grab a young defensive mind willing to adapt. Not some retread

I understand the retread thought, but who would be your short list. We sure as hell are not going to the Big 12 like we did going into 1996. To be honest, I'm not sure where I would go.

Agreed. LSU brought back Bo Pellini and his Dreaded 4-3 defense only to get carved up like a Thanksgiving Turkey by a bunch of cowbell players nobody wanted. Time for some fresh ideas on that side.
