My God, This is unbelievable. Although, I had no idea we had a "National" football team. Not even sure what the IFAF ....is.
America loses to Japan, 41-20 in the semifinals.
WTF, Did we hire Napier to coach the National team or something???

Japan Beats US in Football

A very dark day for America. A very dark day for our nation, indeed. I wonder if this is what the Soviets felt like after losing the Miracle on Ice in 1980.

How in the world does any country put together a team that hits the field against America in football and wins? It makes absolutely no sense.

This is a country that has high school teams stacked with multiple future D1 players. Instead of sending some elite talent, I didn't recognize a single name on the USA roster.

That's a problem. We're clearly not sending our best. I mean, what the hell is this garbage? Completely unacceptable.

No one in the country even knew this game was taking place. Who gives a ****?

We even take this opportunity to use it to slam Billy. Good Christ.

I'm betting that kids from Japan have been playing together for years and the US team was picked 2 weeks ago.
The score looks like the Under Armour game.

Nope, this was the best team the USA had to offer. Five stars at every position and we still got whacked.

To be fair, the article mentioned there were no names on the National Team recognizable to even a casual observer of High School talent and recruiting.
I'm offended that you didn't take 30 seconds out of your model building to read the article.

You wanna know what's worse? 3 days ago, Canada beat Mexico 110-0
Well, If this is true, (I have no way to check and you have a rep for a little BS on here) At least I know they actually play football in Canada.
Japan, Not so much.

Yeah, Maybe this loss will be the impetus to put a little more focus on talent before the next tourney rolls around.
Sort of like Basketball before the "Dream team".

I'm just happy we don't have to face that Canadian Juggernaut in the final.

Ha! Yeah. Losing in the semi-finals means Japan gets their ass kicked by C-eh-N-eh-D-eh.

It's funny they had to mention the word, "Tackle" in the header.
No pun intended.

SonofaB....I went to their site to see a bit more of wtf this is. First, it is U20, and in the 'Adult' rankings US is leading in mens and womens. However, they have a division for each sex in adult FLAG FOOTBALL (US ranked top of 30W teams and 38M teams). On the TACKLE side, the US is also ranked top in both adult divisions of 10W and 10M teams). So yeah, TACKLE had to be mentioned.

Looks like they've been holding these every 2y (2022 was in Mexico, 2024 in Canada...like they are afraid to play in the US because the fans would riot or something). Now shifting to an every 4y cycle.

This is football, not basketball. Injuries are a real concern. No one worth a sh!t is going to risk his body for this meaningless garbage.
