You want to know what team will be moving soon? The chargers. They are at home to a sellout crowd of 25k. 80-90% of the fans there are for the chiefs, not the chargers. They are a huge embarrassment. If any team is moving to London, it'd be this one.

JagBrits, I can already hear the cacophony of crickets from across the pond.
Remember, that experiment : NFL Europe ? Danny Wuerffel QB'd The Rhein Fire. He won the World Bowl and was named MVP of that Superbowl. The NFL lost money.

If they do move, it is no big deal. Wouldn't be the first time I switched allegiances. I grew up a Houston Oilers fan. When they moved to Nashville, I bailed and became a jags fan. I'm not rooting for no team based in tinnerc. No f'in way.

Not to mention the competitive advantages/disadvantages based on which has home field if they qualify for the playoffs.

If they never played another NFL game I wouldn't know it. Haven't watched or followed it in at least 20 years and probably won't live long enough to do so...

Yep, I remember that. Pretty sure I recall going to watch him play one or two of those games on satellite at Jimmy Johnson's Three Rings Sports Bar, which overlooked the pool at the Eden Roc hotel on Miami Beach. VERY nice setup. Great food, too. Jimmy's all about that good life.

Meanwhile London had a team in that World League, the London Monarchs. I know it's been a long time since then, but there's arguably still some relevance to whatever their draw was. I'm willing to bet it wasn't much.

I wonder how logistics would work if that happened. It seems like they would be very challenging for a team to be located there. Not to mention potential tax issues for the players. I don't see it happening, but I am not an expert.

Play games in blocks of 4. Four over there together, the four away (US) games together. Advantage Jag-u-ars (English pronounciation). But It ain't gonna happen. Kahn's sinking big bucks in the city.

the nfl has been trying to expand the fan base for years. That’s why they play in Mexico and London, not to plant teams there.

I guess you had better tell Khan that.

You're nuts if you don't think they have discussed putting permanent teams in those countries for years.

Discussions maybe, but there's a reason it's never been tried all these years, unless you count the NFL's World League, which was a failure. With the reason being, football is a complicated game. I mean no offense to foreigners when I say this, but foreigners are dumb. If they had any sense they'd move to America.

It IS being tried by doing a game a year there. That was the beginning. Soon it will be 2 games there, then 4, etc.

Okay fair enough but I meant tried in the sense of actually trying to base an NFL team over there. It'll never work in London. Those Eurotards think the extra point kick is the most exciting thing that happens in the whole game. If they were going to put a team in a foreign city, I'd think Mexico City would be a more sensible choice. At least they have nachos.

Of course it won't work. However, greed is the most powerful emotion among the NFL brass. If they THINK they can make more money, they are going to give it a shot. And they do.

They have proven time and time again they don't give a **** about the fans.
