This show featured Rodney Alcala, a serial killer who appeared on the show and actually won. Fortunately for the young bachelorette, she was allowed to refuse to go out with him after the show. Rodney died in prison on July 24, 2021 at age 77.
Her instincts served her well, but at the end of the day, he still won. Imagine what it's been like to be the two other guys all these years.

When we bought our house, the previous owner had a grand piano in an area of the living room. Loved the look. Was hoping she’d leave it or sell it to us so I could pretend that I play. And quite well actually.

I always imagined that if I had become an actor and that I were called upon to "play" a piano in a scene, I could do it quite well.
...even throw in some meaningful facial expressions.

This really got me thinking. Would our kids know what to do if they caught on fire? I didn’t teach them the proper technique.

I think a handful would do something along the lines of stop drop and roll. A decent amount would instantly try to find water. But the majority would definitely Instagram Live it. You know, just in case their friends, who are also filming it, don’t have sufficient battery or hit “portrait” by mistake.

Mine would… they’d also know that dad likes to tinker, and dad likes to putter, now he’s up on the roof, fixin the gutter… LOOK UP ABOVE! from the Isiah Thomas PSA about power lines back in the day (can’t find it).
