It would be cool if Donovan at least threw some kind words out there for Nix, considering he helped him even get that far, but it doesn’t sound like he will. Look I get it. Business is business, and Bo will have to make it on his own. But when word gets around that the girl at Cinnabon is two weeks “late”, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Some of the latest mock drafts have Pitts dropping all the way to 12th and Mac Jones as high as 3. What changed in the last week for all of these moves?

      They all need a QB.

Tight ends drafted in the first round have a really bad history. Plus, like runningbacks, you can get them later in the draft. I could see him dropping.

You can get "a TE" later in the draft. You can't get Kyle Pitts later in the draft. He's one of the few game changers in the draft. PERIOD.

I doubt any of those quarterbacks hang around for long including the chic from Clemson.

His work ethic is unquestioned. Even though he had a one of the worst position coaches in CFB, he went out on his own figured it out and developed his skills.

Pitts is an All pro unless he gets hurt. The only knock on him is probably his lack of big production but everyone knows that even great receivers don't get big yards in a Dan Dullen offense. I think we're going to chuckle when we see how much he produces in the NFL versus what Dan Dullen did with him.

Wrong to overlook Pitts' unparalleled wingspan and how a QB can learn how to "misthrow" successfully to Pitts.

The trading of the jets qb, has made another shake up in the draft. But Pitts isn't falling to 12th, and if he did, it would thirteenth. Eagles have zeroed in on the cornerback out of Florida Wilson, just incase Hurts doesn't pan out, he can play corner and has been known to throw objects at least 20 yards.

If Pitts gets past the Bengals it will be a shock.

Y'all falling for the pump fake.

This is the NFL draft. It's all about misinformation.

The only two things we know for sure are Trevor Lawrence first to the Jags and Zack Wilson second to the Jets.

Justin Fields and Trey Lance have a lot of growing up to do. Tons of potential, but they barely started any college games (and Lance played against terrible competition). Mac Jones is the most polished but has the lowest ceiling. He doesn't have elite arm talent. Niners pick a QB, probably Fields or Lance because they've been talking too much about Mac Jones. It feels like a misdirection. After that...

Watch out for Penei Sewell. In terms of value to an NFL team, the highest paid players are quarterback first and then left tackles and edge rushers. There is no stud edge rusher in this draft like a Chase Young. There's also no stud lock-down corner. Once you get past the first 2 quarterbacks, you have 2 tackles (Sewell and Slater from Northwestern) and 2 receivers (Pitts who is listed as a tight end but compares to Megatron, and Ja'Marr Chase who was better than Justin Jefferson at LSU and Jefferson just killed it with the Vikings last year). Those are the best players. They are better players than Fields or Lance but quarterbacks are overvalued so somebody will reach for them putting the teams who don't need a quarterback in a very strong position to get talented non-quarterbacks.

This is a talented and deep receiver class. You can get a stud receiver later in the first or in the second or third rounds. Stud left tackles are far more rare. If you're the Bengals, do you want to draft Ja'Marr Chase and reunite him with Joe Burrow or would you rather draft Sewell to keep Burrow upright and healthy? I'd be very surprised if Sewell got passed over by the Bengals.

                Alex.

Which is why Sewell will either go to 4/5 or might drop.... Pitts won't get past 8. Bengals might not get Sewell, he might go at Four to the Falcons to protect Ryan's backside.

It is fun seeing a Florida player get this much national pub. If Mullinz can’t recruit 5 star tight ends off of this hype, he needs to go.

If Pitts had actually played in all the games he would have had 1200 yards receiving and 20 TD catches. He would have lighted up FSU too had we played them. He should have also been utilized much more in 2019 too.

Ive heard it once or twice on the local talk radio station (ABC news). He was the only player mentioned and they called him the biggest riser of the draft.

Dan just said he's ready for the challenge and gave you the "thumbs up" for your post.

*edit: oops, that was intended for the parasail boat captain. Disregard.

You are right that he is beast, but what do you mean by lack of production? He played 7 1/2 games and had 770 yds and 12 TDs against an all SEC schedule. Do you really believe if it was a normal year and hadn’t been concussed he would not not have had well over 1K yds (and close to 20 TDs)? Hell, Toney almost got 1K (984) against an All-SEC schedule.

If on the other hand, Emory (or the Giraffe) had been QB instead of Trask, then you’d be right on about lack of production.

At least one of the games he sat out because dumbass Dullen didn't want him to play, you know, while a potential playoff spot was at stake. He may well have sat out the bowl game because Dumbass Dullen wanted his 14th one week vacation instead of practice.

Dumbass got 1600 receiving yards out of a generational player. Par for the course for Dullen. He had Harvin too who was a generational player and never got more than 1900 yards out of him.

The next 1000 yard receiver (or running back) Dullen has will be his first.

Douglas has gotten in my head, so I’m already trying to psych myself into thinking that teams who try to pass against Wilson will regret it later. Especially if they’re thinking of throwing it really, really high.

                                Wilson is a done deal.

Unless the Bungles take him first.

Our community sprung up when the Gatorsports message board was shut down in the summer of 2014. We pride ourselves on offering Gator-biased, yet critical discussion among people of all different backgrounds. We are working every day to make sure our community is the best Gator message board you will find.

The management works very hard to make sure the community is running the best software, best designs, and all the other bells and whistles. Care to buy us a non-alcoholic Zima? We'd really appreciate it! Just click the "Donate" tab at the top of the page.
