So Kiffin lost. Mainly his DC lost it by allowing a big play late in a close game. That's probably the biggest rub on him. Would he bring a competent DC? I don't know.

I do know this. Great replacements for Napier aren't falling off the tree.

The point is, his vaunted offense went into the toilet against a solid defense. He's been scratched off the list, it's over. Ole Miss will be discussing firing him in December - perhaps even November.

You're so vested in hating the guy that you can't help yourself. First of all, that crap offense mounted a pretty good late comeback against a tough Kentucky defense.

Second of all, that Kentucky defense all but shut down UGhey. Let's not forget the facts.

Honestly, if we go after him, we do. If we go a different route, that's fine, too. So long as we don't phuck up for the umpteenth time and pick a bad coach with a scheme that isn't going to sit well with Florida fans.

I enjoy triggering the Kiffin guys, who generally think offense is the only thing that matters in college football. I like offense as much as the next guy, but it takes a lot more than that to win games.

As for your "pretty good late comeback" theory, Ole Miss had ZERO points in the 4th quarter. Not much of a comeback there.

Do you honestly think Ole Miss is done losing games? This was just the first of many to come. They will not be ranked when the season is over. The Kiffin nutswingers will be running for cover. We'll have to overturn rocks to flush them out.

Post #262. I think I was pretty clear about the importance of defense.

Yes, boss, I know you love to troll. I do, too. We all do.

I'll come up with some jokes in a minute. I need to relieve myself first.

I'm hearing the focus right now is on Walt Bell, who can be had without a buyout. However, he's playing hardball on his price, as he knows UF is desperate. He's reportedly demanding an 8-year deal at $12+ million a year.

The problem with Walt Bell is whenever you try to look him up, you have to decide whether the correct bio resides with the OC at Western Michigan or the unemployed electrician in Boise.

"Would he bring a competent DC?" If just bringing a DC were that easy, Dan would still be our coach.

Not completely sold on LK, but you do realize even Spurrier had games where his offense was completely shut down. Nine times in his first 3 years he scored 21 or fewer points. It was an ugly game, which Uk seems to draw out from teams quite often. But as I said elsewhere, this is the answer to all this asking why he’d leave OM for UF. The type of players he can get here consistently would be the difference in those games. That’s why uga struggles against UK but still wins, and teams like OM lose. If he aspirations of winning something, he’ll make the move. If he doesn’t, that’s fine and I don’t want him.

Kiffin has a 20 something composite roster which is one of the best ever fielded at Muhssippi. Kintucky (24 I think) has about the same, also probably their best ever.

Billy Retard has a 12 ranked roster, one of our worst but still having about twice the blue chip talent

It is not equivalent for both guys to lose.

It's also why any coach would get the out of that hell hole Muhssippi at the first opportunity.

All I see from this is Lame lost to a team with less talent at home and you are defending him with the same argument that was used for muLLLLLLLen coming from MissState. Its not the coach, its the state. Ok.
