House Dems release new impeachment evidence related to indicted Giuliani associate https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/emmaloop/lev-parnas-giuliani-trump-notes-texts-impeachment The notes, written on stationery from the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Vienna appear to be a to-do list related to Parnas’s efforts to find incriminating information on Biden, one of the president’s top Democratic rivals. The former vice president’s son Hunter worked for a Ukrainian gas company that faced corruption allegations. Parnas may have written the notes last July, as he notes in texts to Giuliani on July 2 that he was headed to Vienna. “[T]rying to get us mr Z,” Parnas told Giuliani at the time, appearing to reference a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. One bullet in the notes reads, “get Zalensky to Annonce that the Biden case will Be Investigated.” In another, Parnas says to “start commun[icating] with” Zelensky without involving two Ukrainian oligarchs — Victor Pinchuk and Igor Kolomoisky. Parnas and his business partner Igor Fruman previously sought to use Kolomoisky to set up a meeting with Zelensky. In my capacity as personal counsel to President Trump and with his knowledge and consent, I request a meeting with you on this upcoming Monday, May 13th or Tuesday, May 14th.” - Letter from Rudy Giuliani One of the documents included in the disclosure is a handwritten note by Parnas that states: “Get Zelensky to announce that the Biden case will be investigated.” Another refers to Lanny Davis, the attorney representing Trump’s former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen: “Get rid of Lanny Davis (nicely!) The evidence also includes a letter from Trump's personal lawyer, Jay Sekulow, in which he indicates that Trump authorized another attorney — John Dowd, who previously represented Trump — to serve as counsel to Parnas and Igor Fruman, another Giuliani associate who was arrested and indicted last year on similar charges. And it gets better: Yovanovitch calls for investigation after documents show she may have been surveilled in Ukraine In one text, Hyde, a Trump donor, allegedly wrote to Parnas, “Wow. Can’t believe Trump hasn’t fired this b--ch. I’ll get right in that,” according to The Hill. "Wow. Can’t believe Trump hasn’t fired this b--ch." — Text message purportedly written by Trump donor In another message, he allegedly wrote, “they will let me know when she’s on the move,” in an apparent reference to Yovanovicth,” adding later, “if you want her out they need to make contact with security forces,” according to The Wall Street Journal. "Guess you can do anything in the Ukraine with money," he reportedly texted, after apparently establishing that Yovanovitch was under some form of surveillance. Plotting to assassinate a Government official for Trump. Yikes.
