I guess that's probably a reasonable gauge, but I just find it hard to believe a top tier school make a serious scholly offer to a high school junior. A lot can happen in a year. Some other kid under the radar could blossom into the next VH3 and you already have 11 CBs offered. Seems crazy to me.
That is how the game is played nowadays. If you dont offer these kids in middle school the Alabamas and the LSUs of the world will. Then when you do finally offer they ask you what the hell took so long.

Well, I guess we should be good on DBs for the next decade or so.

And he's 1 of 3 CBs we have for 2016. How can we know who we want for CB in 2016 already? They aren't even in their senior year yet. LOL
I'm really hoping Byrd ends up on offense...the kid is electric with the football in his hands...

There is no excuse for our recruiting to not be at the top every year. None.

Indoor.
Practice.
Facility.

Kidding! As for offering a high school junior, if he's good enough you have to offer or someone else will. I'm sure Muschamp puts stipulations on the offer such as grades and character. The offer can be retracted at any time. Just like the kid can decide to go elsewhere at any time.

Didn't see this before I posted. Completely agree.

I don't like how recruiting is being done but the Genie is out of the bottle and there is no going back.

Paying the players will only make the competition for top notch recruits worse.

The big 3 in Florida will always do well in recruiting. Half a$$ U was a dumpster fire for the last 10 years but they were still top 10 in recruiting every year, they just did nothing with the recruits. Miami was going down like the Titanic and still pulled in the #1 recruiting class a few years ago. Again, they did nothing with that class.

It's up to Roper to turn this thing around because Champ will have the defense ready to play.

Met LSU OL commit Josh Vizcanio at Church yesterday. He's 6'3"/320 and no fat. He's from Tampa so I asked why he's going to LSU. He said he want's to play in the SEC and Florida never offered him so he chose between UGA, LSU and Auburn. He's not rated very high but seems like a high character guy. Plans to Redshirt and Bulk-up.

Surely, that's a typo 320?

. This, we always seem to recruit the defensive side pretty well. If Roper shows some consistent offense, recruiting should improve on that side of the ball as well.[/quote]Gotta agree with that.

ESPN says 315, what's 5 lbs here and there. Just read his 40 time was 5.84, pretty slow.

Yea and the 320 sounds about right for your 5'9" frame. :stickpoke:
