Does anybody remember what his buyout was if he had been fired for convenience?

I expect him to get little beyond what he owes on his old buyout, I hope that bull gators are getting ready to pony up big time to fix all our issues.

So he got 65% for a 0% adequate job.
Gotta start with contracts that do expectable performance bonuses and tiny buyouts. Any HC who does not believe in his methods enough to accept that is a dubious hire. (Of course, buyouts are really tied to the swarthiness of lawyer-agents.)

12.9 because of the 900,000 for the rest of the remaining schedule.

How about pain & suffering damages caused to us by his first half of our schedule. And our extra-protection costs for guarding his family from death-threat assassins here.
There's got to be some blowback for blowing it.??

Apparently Jimmy Sexton still has a little bit of say...... UAA leaked one buy out amount, we hire another Sexton client, the Buyout almost doubles. Odd on the timing of that.

I don't get it....it's absolutely outrageous. Mac was more than just bad at his job - he set the program back YEARS with his incompetence. There was no discipline and no accountability from either the coaches or players; it was a failure at every level. He's a thief for accepting his salary, much less that ridiculous buyout.

UF should have given him nothing and said "sue me". I guarantee it would have cost them less than 7.5 million in the lawsuit. The evidence would have clearly shown he didn't fulfill his contractual obligations.

In the meantime, Mac is sitting on a pile of 100 dollar bills on a porch in Sh!tstain, Montana right now living it up. Screw you, Mac - I hope you choke on that money.

Don’t forget to add the approx. $4m annual salary for the first 2 1/2 years on top of the $7.5m buyout to get the total amount he was paid for said incompetence.

I’ll repeat myself...I got into the wrong profession. So much so that I’m applying for a GA position at Georgia Tech. I figure if I do an average or better job, I’ll be a HC making at least a million per year at some mid tier school in the next 6-7 years. Then I’ll parlay that into a 6 year $50m contract at a bigger program like UF (inflation ya know) and then ride off into the sunset...on my big effing yacht!

Thanks for taking away the last little bit of enjoyment I had from this whole fiasco.

This sucks. I said before UF should sue Foley for negligence; throw Mac in there as well. The harm these two have inflicted on Gator Football is incalculable.

Honestly to me the craziest thing is there is a clause in it that neither party will disparage the other both publicly and privately.
