Vandy can't do any better than a retired/washed up NFL coach? That's sad.
Sad? It's freaking Vandy. Fisher is terrible, but he did take a NFL team to the Super Bowl. This would be an absolute home-run hire for them.

I haven't seen him in years, but if this pic that was posted is any indication of his condition, I'd say he spent the past 5 years in Vegas or AC, drinking, gambling and smoking 24/7. I imagine him sitting outside of his efficiency room at a Nashville motel, in one of those white plastic chairs, snubbing out a cig in a completely full ash tray. He'd probably coach HS if it were offered. From Super Bowls and USC rumors, to groveling for Vanderbilt and bumming 305s. If there's a worse story, I don't know it.

Jeff Fisher is thinking he could write off his salary from Vandy as a charirritable donation.

This article leads off with Mason's firing, but never mentions that he was 0-8 (the fact only shows up in a photo caption). The lack of Black college football coaches is still glaring, and so are the excuses behind it The implication seems to be that Mason was fired because of some kind of racial animus rather than the fact that he was 0-8. While I agree with the general thrust of the article, I'm not sure starting off with an 0-8 coach is really the best way to make the case. Also, no mention of Taggart.

Does the article list all of the hundreds of qualified minority candidates that are being passed over?

I would imagine the author didn’t bother to do any silly research before penning an article intended to accuse but I didn’t read it so I don’t know.

Hearsay. He would never coach somewhere e couldnt win. At least not until he is older and even then I doubt it.

I stopped looking into mirrors when I was Fisher’s age. They’d all developed cracks.
