I could see Meyer in the NFL. He's manager and a spreadsheet guy. He'd be a perfect fit for the No Fun League.

I believe it is this fact that gives this story some legs. Meyer burns out quickly and can't stomach losing after having had previous success.

"Why now?:
The timing may never line up better for Meyer to take a job in the NFL. He is coming off the best four-year run of any Big Ten coach in modern history, is widely considered one of the best college coaches of all-time, and will likely be 're-loading' at Ohio State next season as the school is preparing for a mass-exodus of talent after this season, including a potential eight underclassmen declaring for the NFL Draft.

Meyer's history shows he rarely stays at one place for too long, and has not yet shown the interest in reloading a roster after successful runs at other schools."

You'd never guess Meyer going but once you think about it it kinda makes sense.

Perhaps Tebow would have a future? And there's no way you give him full control. That hasn't worked so well with guys coming from college.

The transition from college to pro rarely works.

I could see this....He's eyeing the monster that Harbaugh is building and doesn't want to become the next Earl Bruce...Losing year after year to their biggest rival.

Can't believe that the browns are getting ready to make him a ridiculous off and partial stake in ownership

Desperate times call for desperate measures even if they are stupid.

Did he say the Cleveland browns was his dream job? I'm sure he will if he gets it.

I just never pictured Meyer as a NFL guy. Is he going to bring the spread option with him?

Meyer only takes job where he knows he can win. I don't care who you are, you ain't winning in Cleveland.
