IMO, Campbell sounded like an advocate for high school football players. He wants the kids to be able to speak to college recruiters whenever they want. Agreed he is a huge Canes fan, and no one hates the Canes more than us Gators living down here, but in this situation he is being the athletes advocate.

How did he get the job? Likely a big check to the Northwestern AD each year for uniforms and such. He played high school ball in Miami. Anyone (including me) can coach as volunteer as long as they pass a background check.

BTW now that Campbell made his money he has been a model citizen. Too Live Crew would seem tame to a granny compared to today's stuff. Also, he writes a column in almost every issue of the weekly New Times.
