I was listening to Pandora and an old GNR song came on that you never hear on the radio because its old, and too long.. but it is a classic. The name of the song is Estranged.

What is yours?

Would YYZ or Green Grass and High Tides count as obscure?

If you really want to use Rush for a great yet obscure song, I'd go with songs like The Trees, Jacob's Ladder or La Villa Strangiato.

Oh come on, Wobble, you can pick a better and more obscure SOAD song than that. Try Holy Mountains or Science or Ego Brain or Streamline.

I was being lazy. There was no rule stating that it had to be extremely obscure.

Violent Pornography a better suggestion?

Sappy by Nirvana. And anything by The Pixies, who didn't get the coverage of other alt bands, but were very influential.

Gary Numan, Praying to the Aliens. Similar to "Cars".

Heard it one night when I was a teen when my girl had me take a hit of something, which turned out to be laced with something. The next day this song was stuck in my head, and remained there for weeks. Neither I nor my girl were completely sure we heard this song. Part of us thought the "something in the something" made us imagine it... It literally took months before we found out for sure that there was a song with this name and to find it and listen to it again.

Replacements -- Here Comes a Regular
UNKLE -- Heaven
Astronautalis -- Trouble Hunters
James -- Laid
The Raconteurs -- Level
Warren Zevon -- Lawyers, Guns, and Money
The Tragically Hip -- Bobcaygeon
TV on the Radio -- Wolf Like Me
Twin Shadow -- Five Seconds
The War on Drugs -- Red Eyes

I can't define "obscure." Very few of the songs I listed would be considered rock like GNR, but I just perused my IPOD for things that I don't think most people would have.
