Are takeaways really that important? Isn't it mostly luck which way the ball bounces? At this point, what difference does it make?UF was number 132 out of 133 teams in the nation last year in turnovers gained. 4 fumble recoveries and 3 interceptions for a whopping 7 takeaways all year.
By far the most pathetic statistic in the history of our football program.
Yes... And no. If thaaaaaaat maaaakes enny sense. Raight? Are takeaways really that important? Isn't it mostly luck which way the ball bounces? At this point, what difference does it make?

I think after the Kentucky game would be best case scenario. It would give the interim an extra week to adapt and we'd probably be more competitive against uga. Granted, that's probably a very unlikely scenario but definitely the best imo.Georgia game will be the real marker, and at that point best case scenario is that he will be let go at the end of the regular season.
I'm concerned about the teams confidence and overall psyche. I think they're on the verge of either breaking out big or, a total collapse.I think after the Kentucky game would be best case scenario. It's amazing really how we keep hiring entire staffs totally bereft of talent. Not a competent future coach or even future coordinator on staff since before McElshark. It's not about putting an interim into place, we don't have one. That is the lynchpin game..
During his whole presser he only said “if that makes sense” once and none of his other verbal crutches - at least that I noticed.Yes...... And no. If that makes sense, right?
I honestly wouldn't give a shiite how he talks, how he looks, how he dresses etc if he wasn't one of the dumbest head coach I've ever seen.During his whole presser he only said “if that makes sense” once and none of his other verbal crutches - at least that I noticed.
Unlike @soflagator , I thought it was a purposeful correction. Someone gave him feedback on it and he fixed it. We’ll see if that continues, relative to the future unique situations.
He’s earnest and he is trying. We’ll see if he’s likewise addressed ST gaffes, giving up 70-yard bombs, only 3 INT’s, only 22 sacks…
Like the two OL coaches, if you win its great, if you lose it becomes another thing that people point to as should have been a red flag. We will see how it goes.I honestly wouldn't give a shiite how he talks, how he looks, how he dresses etc if he wasn't the dumbest head coach I've ever seen.
Urban had two OL coaches, Hev to coach and Daz to recruit. If Slingblade got those results no one would care.Like the two OL coaches, if you win its great, if you lose it becomes another thing that people point to as should have been a red flag. We will see how it goes.
Napier-West coast version
I expect our OL to be better because we are more mature, probably stronger, have some solid portal additions. The recruiting is just hard to understand. Would think two OL coaches with a HC determined to give OL two coaches, seems like a good product to sell. I have been under the impression Sale is credited with putting a fair number of guys in the NFL.Like the two OL coaches, if you win its great, if you lose it becomes another thing that people point to as should have been a red flag.
