NBA and MLB Betting Fraud

Shocked GIF by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

F vcking sad....the money these guys make and they can't control themselves. The Poker games are one thing but now they're saying the player has been making obviously errors on the court like turning the ball over or throwing up airballs...

Somebody brought it up in the coaching search thread and I agree strongly that any professional coaching or playing salary should be based on incentive with only maybe 20-25% guaranteed money.

This is one of the worst takes on any subject I have ever heard.

Is he suggesting these charges are fabricated, or is he suggesting that they are true but the feds should simply look the other way? So stupid to make everything political. This was a multi-year investigation that started during the last administration.

Any player or coach caught gambling in any sport should get a lifetime ban, period. You would think that a supposed sports guy would actually care about nailing people that are destroying the integrity of sports.

If the players were white he'd be fine with it.

If you’ll listen closely, he never said they didn’t do it. In my former life we would refer to that as a “clue.”

No, he didn't. But he did say, "We're all sittin up here saying, 'We don't know. We don't know'".
So he's either trying to play devil's advocate or is not "prosecuting" them in the court of public opinion without further evidence.
I personally think he knows all about the gambling, that it's legit, who does it, etc. but is refusing to expose it publicly and is going to remain, essentially, quite while the 3-letter agencies do their job.

Ox nailed it.

Had to look up the name. The baby in the well. Many prayers answered and a very good illustration of field engineering.

observation today regarding "education" I drove down 13th St by UF. I swear 90% of the students walking into and away from UF were gals. Where are the young men? Maybe it was closer to 80% girls but it was mostly gals.........

By my estimation, just a bunch of uneducated white boys talking.
Welp. Uneducated probably doesn't apply. Most of us have prestigious degrees from an elite university. Unless we have an albino on the board, white is definitely out. I, personally, am just a lighter shade of brown.

I might still have a regrettable haircut but my bangs have grown out. Ask @Detroitgator we had lunch last month. They no longer look like a 5 year old with safety scissors cut them, I hope.

there’s a lot going on in this photo and I'm not sure what to discuss first.
How about the keynote speaker there going into the salon and saying, “give me the ‘Andrea Bocelli’ everyone’s been raving about”.
