Aub, was screwed. If they had that stud that ruined his knee its not even close.......and still they should have won. If you lose control of your dribble (and its not touched) you cannot pick up the ball and dribble again. Fck the refs.........

Double dribble is like palming. It is one of those rules that is broken constantly, but rarely called. They certainly aren't going to call it at the end of the game.

Every announcer on the staff including the retired head of officials said no one caught it and the kid from UVa was fouled on the 3. Even Barkley admitted it.

How many FT did the kid from Auburn make just before that play? NONE! You can go back and replay the whole damn game and find calls that shouldn't have been made and calls that should. Fact is...if Barn had been called for all the fouling they did all over the damn court, UVA would have been in the bonus and shooting 2 the last 5 min of the game. Auburn had a crook coaching the FB team, one playing QB when they won the NC and now they have one coaching the BB team. Fk Auburn.

Worst year I have ever seen for officiating in CBB. That said, Auburn couldn't close the barn door!

It has been a crappy year and the downside to that is more replay on the way. The NFL is damn near unwatchable now because of it. You can't let one call be the reason you lose. They miss travelling and 3 seconds in the lane..hell they damn near just quit calling it all together.

NFL refs blow the most obvious PI call in the history of the game, and NCAA refs blow the most obvious double dribble call in the history of the game. Mehh, no biggie, just completely changed the make-up of their championship games.

Refs are always inconsistent when it comes to calling contact fouls. But, it is called all the time. In my years of watching basketball, I could count on one hand the number of times double dribble has been called.
