New Coach Hotseat Update

"We're still in September and there already is one coaching vacancy (SMU). While it's extremely unlikely another job will come open this month, there are going to be a dozen or so that come open this season -- and chances are, the jobs that come open will be on this list.

We're not saying all these guys will go, but coaches are hired to be fired and the job security of these 10 are the most tenuous among the 128 coaches in the FBS ranks. By no means, though, is this a complete list of the hot-seat coaches. These are just the guys on the hottest seats this week.

This list will be updated on a weekly basis as coaches' fortunes rise and fall. "
