Wyoming to K-State to Meatchicken State. Seems like a good carrier movement. Seems better than Georgia -> Louisville -> Mississippi State -> Florida.
Has his nickname been Third and Hazelton for his entire career?

3. Chris Partridge, Ole Miss — $625,000
4. Keith Heyward, Oregon — $600,000

10. Anthony Poindexter, Purdue — $460,000
10. Corey Raymond, LSU — $460,000

Additional notes:

— Travaris Robinson earns $1.2 million to coordinate South Carolina’s defensive while also coaching the secondary. Kerry Coombs also earns $1.2 million at Ohio State, as does Arkansas’s Barry Odom, while Derrick Ansley makes a flat $1 million at Tennessee. Phil Parker earns $800,000 at Iowa.

— Kelly is Alabama’s associate defensive coordinator — never seen that title before — and safeties coach.

— The margin to make the top 10 was the slimmest I’ve found yet. Ron English beat out Michigan’s Bob Shoop and his own co-worker, Florida cornerbacks coach Torrian Gray, by all of $1,500.

@Swamp Donkey your favorite OC landed a job:

Cincinnati: Dan Enos, who spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Miami and coached the quarterbacks at Alabama prior to that, has been hired to coach the running backs

I told this story last summer - I met Enos' wife in Las Vegas, in the pool at the Encore hotel. It was 4th of July week. She was very nice, and sort of "classy" hot. They've been living out of boxes for years - I don't think he's been at one job more than 2 years since Arkansas.

This is surprising. What in the hell is Saban doing over there with all these former head coaches? Mike Stoops turns down a paying DB job at an SEC school, working for his brother, in a very secure job - probably was going to make at least $300K to stay at Alabama as an analyst?

Alabama: Mike Stoops has decided not to accept a position on his brother’s staff; and will remain an analyst for Nick Saban at Alabama

Paying them more money than we pay on the field coaches and leaning on them to make draft gameplans.

Their support staff salary is nearly as much as our assistant coaching pool. Gruden was dead on the money and saw the writing on the wall.

Shame on Foley for not heeding Chuckie’s warning.

It's eye opening. And honestly, I'm not sure what our budget is but I doubt it's 1/3rd (support staff budget) - plus the recruiting budget is probably around half. We could add 8-10 support staff positions for less than $1 million, especially if they added several entry-level type jobs to do menial tasks. I don't get it. It's the literal bread winner of the athletic department and they refuse to fund it appropriately.

Id fully expect we arent even at 10%. Bammer has over 100 staffers/contractors/consultants, and no one seems to really know the numbers bc they hide their positions. We have 3.

It is just stupidity. They have zero interest in competing for champiomships and are more than happy with an Also Ran bowl.

Indiana hired a replacement for the S&C coach (Ballou, who left to take the Alabama S&C job) and are paying him $700K, $300K more than they paid Ballou last year. So, Indiana's S&C coach is the 3rd highest paid S&C coach in CFB:

Marotti just got a raise to $801K at Ohio State. Iowa's Chris Doyle made $800K last year and is due a raise - are the top two S&C coaches (Ballou's new Alabama salary has not been released yet):

Nice hire by Kentucky as an analyst:

Kentucky: Greg Manusky, who spent the past few seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Redskins and has been coaching in the NFL since 2001, has joined the program in a quality control role. Manusky has previously coordinated defenses for the 49ers, Chargers, and Colts.
