Not sure exactly when it happened, but sometime in the last 3 years, Mitch McConnell grew a pair

Remember when The Turtle was a stodgy old Never Trumper who was skeptical of the MAGA Movement and was regularly accused of trying to slow-walk Trump's agenda?

This dude has SEEN THE LIGHT in a major, MAGA way, and is now stoking the coals on the Trump Train like nobody's business.

Obviously, he did a sterling job of managing the whole impeachment situation, and of shepherding through the Kavanaugh nomination.

And speaking of Supreme Court nominees, check this out. Mitch went on Fox News with Brett Baier and had this supremely mic-dropping moment:

Let the Dems accuse him of hypocrisy all they want. Who cares?? Okay, we're hypocrites. And we control the Supreme Court, suckers!

Jokes aside, McConnell does take a stab at explaining why it arguably would not be hypocritical for the GOP Senate to confirm a Supreme Court nominee between now and November, even though they refused to do that in the last year of Obama's presidency.

He says the distinction is that then, one party controlled the Senate and the other had the White House. Whereas now both are in the same hands.

Gotta be honest, somebody would have to explain to me why that's a good argument. I thought the general principle behind refusing to confirm Garland was that an election was imminently approaching, and the people should be allowed to weigh in on which party would be the one appointing and confirming the nominee.

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems to me that if we're being consistent, the same principle would apply if a Supreme Court vacancy occurred between now and the upcoming election. But guess what? I don't care!

Like Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." What, we should miss an opportunity to lock down the Supreme Court for a generation, for the sake of "consistency"? Uhhh, no.

Sorry, lefties. We play to #$%@ing win over here. If we win the coin toss, we want the ball and we're gonna score. With MAGA Mitch, of all people, as our quarterback. Who knew?

GGG is-was my favorite fighter. I wish he still had knockout power. Canello fought well against GGG twice. Punch totals would have GGG winning. But Canelo has represented very well. I think hewas given the fight because that young he is a fantastic stream of revenue for lots of people.

If they fight again I'd want to have Canelo tested for enhancement drugs.??

When young my favorite fighter was Alexis Arguello but Aaron Pryor tore him up twice. There was no drug testing back then. Pryor just fought like a buzzsaw, ignoring defense and he got tagged but unaffected. = that's the part I think was drug-fueled -- methamphetamine?

Of course, if you want to watch historical fights watch Iran Barkley. He always gets knocked down several times before knocking his opponent completely bonkers.
I won't pay $50+ dollars for any PPV fight -- $50+ dollars them's fighting words.

The Repubs could have brought up Garland for a vote but didn't. If there were enough support for Garland, the Senate could have forced a vote but didn't.

I would have brought it to a vote so the Rs could have squashed it and went on about our business.

                Really?

                Really?

Do I have to explain this?

Like every other piece of big Washington grabastic amphibian schiff in the establishment Pub party, it is almost election time. Of course he is veering HARD RIGHT.

Ever seen John McTaint's voting record every year 6?

Guess who else is running? Lindsey McGraham.

Guess what happens after the election and he is jonesing for another fix of tens of millions from special interests?

All politicians sell out to special interests now and again but he's not going stand in the way of Trump's agenda like he was doing at first. Kentucky is Trump Country now, and he knows it. He profited from being an establishment sellout and I'm sure he won't mind selling out the establishment if he can profit from that, too.
